How to Use the PDF Merger
Upload multiple PDF files by dragging them into the dropzone or clicking to browse. Once uploaded, arrange the files in your desired order using the up and down arrow buttons, then click "Merge & Download" to combine them into a single PDF.
Features
- Multiple file upload — Select or drop several PDFs at once.
- Reorder files — Use the arrow buttons to arrange the merge order.
- Remove files — Click the X button to remove any file before merging.
- Add more — Keep adding files after the initial upload.
How It Works
The tool uses pdf-lib to load each PDF, copy all pages, and assemble them into a new combined document. Everything runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to any server.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There is no hard limit, but very large files may be slow to process since everything runs in your browser. For best results, keep total file size under 100 MB.
Will the merged PDF keep bookmarks and links?
Basic page content, images, and text are preserved. Some interactive features like bookmarks, form fields, and hyperlinks may not carry over during the merge.
Does the order matter?
Yes. Pages are added in the order shown in the file list. Use the arrow buttons to rearrange before merging.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDFs never leave your device.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first before they can be merged.
